About Fine Arts Gallery
The Cal State LA Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Fine Arts Building at California State University, serves the needs of an urban and diverse university community through art but also provides a forum for investigating a wide range of visual cultures through art and art related events. The Cal State LA Fine Arts Gallery offers a vibrant program that features established and budding artists, as well as acclaimed artists and scholars from around the world. It also presents cultural and educational exhibits of all ages as well as Cal State LA faculty, and graduate and undergraduate students year-round. All exhibitions and events are open to the public.
About the Director
Dr. Mika Cho was appointed as Special Assistant to the President for Arts and the director of the Cal State LA Fine Arts Gallery in 2017. Prior to her appointment as the director of the Cal State LA Fine Arts Gallery she served as the chair of the Art Department. She is art educator, researcher, educational consultant, curator and visual artist, the last comprising numerous exhibitions at museums and galleries. Her research interests are in art-related and educational issues, which she shares through publications and extensive conference presentations nationally and internationally.
